This Friday’s race will be at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska and Saturday’s show will be at the “Sprint Car Capital of the World,” the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. One year ago last weekend, Roa journeyed to the same track’s. At I-80 he timed in eight fastest among the 26 cars and came from the eighth-place starting spot to finish fifth in the main. One night later at Knoxville, he qualified 15th in the 35 car field and finished second in his heat. Hopes ran high for the main event, but on lap two, he could not avoid cars who crashed in front of him and tore off the left front shock mount. It knocked him out of the race and saddled him with a disappointing 20th place finish.

The first two victories came at Las Vegas and Hanford in the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series. The latter two both came at Ventura in the USAC/CRA and VRA Series.’ He is currently ranked third in the USAC/CRA championship standings.
